In Her Shoes is an interactive simulation to help community members understand the ups and downs a battered woman experiences over the course of many years.
- Explore 17 different stations (such as the hospital, emergency shelter, and church)
- Increase your awareness as you navigate choices for your character
- Scenarios are based on true stories and real-life experiences of the one-in-three women affected by domestic violence.
Because domestic violence is a community tragedy, not a private problem, we invite you to walk “In Her Shoes” and find your role in the movement to end domestic violence.
Facilitated by Amy Deike, a trainer for Advocacy for Victims of Abuse (AVA). AVA is a ministry of the Evangelical Covenant Church that informs, educates, and raises awareness in our congregations and communities.
